Progressive Die Stamping

Progressive die stamping is a process that involves modifying raw metals in a variety of different ways. This can include bending, coining, and punching, among many others. All of these methods are applied in tandem with an automatic feeding system, which will turn out a unique, complex component to your specifications. Several individual work stations are utilized, with each performing multiple operations on the component. The part is then carried between each by the stock strip and is cut out of the strip in the final operation.

Hardy-Reed’s team of experts consistently prove their knowledge of progressive die fundamentals, which is key to producing a quality, cost-effective die and piece component. The more complex the die, the more important the decisions are on the fundamentals. We take great care in our decision making, especially as the complexity of a die bears heavily on what a given project requires. After considerable evaluation and taking note of compromises, we can suggest the best options for your stamping project. Our progressive dies have produced and will produce consistent, quality parts exactly to your specifications while keeping your budget in mind.

All of Hardy-Reed’s die manufacturing is done in-house with our team of well-trained and highly-skilled die makers. Our designers rely on the real-time feedback given to them by our toolmakers, and the wealth of knowledge both teams possess will prove to be beneficial for your parts production because many difficult choices and compromises must be made when designing progressive dies to produce a part. Knowing beforehand what choices must be made is critical. Our facility boasts a well-equipped machining area that enables us to fabricate all of our dies in-house.
